Hey,Hey,Hey!
I'm not sure what to say about this you'll have to read for yourself.http://brok.diary-x.com/journal.cgi?entry=20041008It seems strange but maybe it wasn't as explicit as it sounds. We live in a strange world folks.I'm jealous I can't find girls so dedicated.
Thanks John for the song info.Smart men are such a turn on.
Well, my search has began. If y'all remember I'm looking for a new place to hang my hat.Our local authoratie(That's probably not spelled right.I detest that show but certain things just stick.) has decided for us that Ambrosia must move to a new location. So, I am trying to save money and get closer into town. The force is not with me!If any of you are landlords please be honest and don't waste potential tenants time.I understand that people see things differently but this is getting ridiculous.I found a house under unfurnished homes not apartments or condos/ townhomes but regular old unfurnished homes. For our area it was in a higher bracket than I had planned on but it sounded nice so I gave them a call. After describing the entire floor plan in depth the lady explained it was a townhouse.Lucky for me she must moon lite as a telemarketer because there wasn't a nanosecond of a break in between her sentences for me to decline. The good part was yet to come. She reduced the rent by $250 to compensate for the Navy guy that is now and will continue to occupy one of bedrooms. There is some old furnishings she doesn't want to move so she would like to leave those through out the home as well.I thought I must have called one of those ads Crank Yankers places. No,it turned out to be the first of several fools I have been unfortunate enough to encounter.
Here is one that really had me going.I actually got excited because this one advertised an in ground pool.Right away I established that this was actually a private pool on the premises.(I have inquired about several that advertise pools and mean a community pool you have an option to buy a membership for.)The house was further out than we wanted to be but come on it has an in ground pool.I got directions for the house and was about to hang up when "I forgot to tell you about the garage. The left side is yours and Dave parks on right.".Whoa rewind.Okay, that takes a few seconds to settle in."I'm sorry who is Dave"?"Oh he is a really nice guy that works for my husband. He lives in the frog.He doesn't have use of the yard or pool and you will only see him when he is coming or going out the back door."Let's see now. No ,I won't be seeing him or the house. We are not interested in room mates. Can you even begin to imagine what in the hell these people are thinking?Like I'm going to let a stranger in my house. There is a roommate section in our classifieds maybe that would be a good place to place ads for homes that come with roommates.
This next guy wins the "Dumb Ass" trophy though(or maybe I get it cause I keep falling for it).He actually got me to ride all the way out and see the problem for myself. The ad was rather plain but did note a creek view and extra large yard. For the past 4 1/2 years we have lived on acreage and our definition of large differs from people who are use to neighborhoods.I spoke to the gentleman on the phone at length. He outlined the lot size and elaborated on the view.We discussed pets and he explained the side yard was fenced but the back was not because they didn't want to obscure the view.Maybe I'm a sucker but once again my jaw dropped when we arrived at the home.A two story building housing two apartments was standing in the yard maybe 20 feet from the back door.So much for obstructing the view.I felt I was owed gas money after that trip.
It is kind of funny.Diana always gets a good laugh. The funniest part is every time I get excited and I'm just sure this is going to be the right one.About 5 years ago we had a bad neighbor experience and have been really picky ever since..Not that we have ever wanted anyone living with us or in the back yard. Our neighbors had a pool and teenage daughters.Like I said I'm naive and just didn't even consider the possibilities. They were so loud. Then boys the mom and her live in boyfriend didn't approve of started parking their cars in front of our house or getting dropped off and hiding in our shrubs and on and on.The mom was a total bitch so I didn't even try talking to her.We lucked out when we moved from that house and found a gem of a house in town on 20 acres. It was just wonderful. There was a wooded gravel driveway off a frontage road no one paid any attention to.Everyone was so shocked when they came down the drive for the first time. With us there is always a twist.A church owned the property. They would have came in the middle of the night with torches if they had any idea where our money came from.WE didn't lie,we just gave them our corporate info and the good ole don't ask and don't tell prevailed.A new minister was appointed to the church and the business manager brought him on a tour that resulted in him wanting the house. We were given 30 days notice and asked to leave.I was not happy at all.:-< The island we live on now is breathtaking and I finally got a water view.We are paying out the nose for this view and it is so far out.And so my dream home by the sea is in the near future to become just that.I guess it's better to have enjoyed it and lost it than never to have enjoyed at all.Maybe, the problem is now I know what I'm going to be missing. This would be the part where my mom would remind me there are starving kids in the world. Not that my living in a cheaper place is going to help them.Seriously though it has been an incredible place to be.There are many people(most of the population)that work harder than us and don't have half as much to show for it.I'm not sure that they have the same kind of stress or instability but I am grateful none the less.
