Well, the best part of the past week was when I went to buy new light fixtures.Diana works long hours and I think she was feeling left out so I invited her to help me pick the fixtures and the new ceiling fan.She is much thriftier than I and thanks to her I saved quite a bit by buying cheaper pretty fixtures instead of the more expensive ones I first fancied. I love Lowes! What I don't love is going broke. We have been a week without an income. The bill is currently at the $10,000.00 mark.It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have to leave the location in less than a year.Hell,I don't even own the building.I don't expect to speak to the owner until tomorrow. The electrician has about 4 hours of work left and the a/c guy starts tomorrow. The a/c man is going to bring in a bigger than usual crew and finish the job in 2 days which in phenomenal. He's a friend of a friend/client.I'm using all means possible to reopen quickly. We should be ready for the electrical and mechanical inspections on Thursday.Maybe I have found a new career choice, contractor.I have been lighting some fires of my own under people's asses.
I met with Jo and Serena today to pay some tips I owed them.Jo had changed her hair.It is in tiny micro-mini braids. She resembles Janet Jackson.Last week her hair was a light brown and in soft curls. The color set off her skin tone perfectly.I guess you figured out that Jo is black. She has always had a pretty face but recently she lost about 20 lbs and is just beautiful.Jo's has never been fat.She was always firm but still had baby fat.She looks incredible now.Fortunately she lost weight in all the right places and is still a (natural) full DD.
Some of the clients that have stopped in or phoned seem more lost than we are with the club being closed.Sunday the electrician was working on the light plate by the front door when two of our regular Asian clients walked up.He was blocking the front door and explained we were closed. The younger client turned to the other and spoke in their language for a few minutes. When they turned to leave the electrician moved slightly to the side and continued working. The two men turned back toward the door and rushed in past him.I tried hard not to laugh.I pointed to the missing ceiling and filled them in on the fire and our progress toward reopening. The younger being the only one that understands English again spoke with his elder companion. The older gentlemen faced me and babbled off something I assumed to be an apology because it ended with the word sorry. When they actually left the electrician said"They must not have believed me".That is just one example of our clients determination to see for themselves why we are not open.I smile and oblige them. Some callers are sound so lost ,I find myself consoling them and promising that we will be open real soon. Our phone message is updated every day or so to keep our "friends" informed. It's easier than them insisting on coming in and interrupting the workers for information if I'm not able to intercept them first.
I'm not sure what is worse, being up so damn early every morning or knocking on poverty's door.Okay, maybe I do know.It is definitely waiting on the door step of the poor house but being up at the crack of dawn does nothing pleasant for me either.Oh Yeah,I'm officially spoiled (was anyway).
